About The Position

Valkyrie Enterprises seeks a Missile Defense System Architecture Engineer to work in Huntsville, Alabama, in the Targets and Countermeasures program office. The position is contingent upon prime contractor approval and supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Architecture Validation team as an Architecture Assessment Engineer in the Chief Architect's Office. The engineer will help develop and manage the QlikSense-based Capability Gap Tracker (CGT), including reviewing, updating, and organizing gaps and threats. The role also develops dashboards and data visualizations for reporting, analysis, and architecture decision-making. The engineer works with other MDA organizations and CGT users to help them understand and use the tool, identify reporting needs, and deliver data-driven solutions that improve decision support and provide insight into elements of the missile defense system. The position requires an active Secret clearance and the ability to maintain it. Travel is minimal, at 10% or less. Candidates traveling by domestic flight or accessing secure federal facilities or military bases must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID, by the start of the position. Employment is contingent upon successfully completing applicable pre-employment requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field.
At least 3 years of experience supporting missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD programs or projects.
Experience working with and analyzing large data sets.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Active Secret clearance and ability to maintain it.

Nice To Haves

Active TS/SCI clearance.
Working knowledge of Missile Defense Systems (MDS) components, architectures, concepts, and threats, demonstrated through analysis activities.
Proficiency with data analytics and visualization tools such as QlikSense, Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
Working knowledge of Systems Engineering processes, including Model-Based Systems Engineering and Digital Engineering strategies.
Experience with Digital Engineering tools and platforms such as Cameo, Palantir, or similar technologies.

Responsibilities

Provide direct support to the Architecture Validation Team within MDA's Chief Architect's Office.
Assist with development and management of the QlikSense-based Capability Gap Tracker (CGT), including reviewing, updating, and organizing gaps and threats.
Develop CGT dashboards and data visualizations to support reporting, analysis, and architecture decision-making.
Work with other MDA organizations to help them understand and leverage the CGT and gain insight into elements of the missile defense system.
Engage cross-functional teams and CGT users to identify reporting needs and deliver data-driven solutions that improve decision support capabilities.
