About The Position

McCarthy Fabrication LLC is looking for a highly skilled Metal Fabricator with at least 5 years of experience to join their team. The role involves a wide variety of projects including custom architectural pieces, handrail fabrication, stair fabrication, and heavy industrial/structural fabrication. The ideal candidate is focused on accuracy and timeliness, with strong organizational and communication skills. This is primarily a shop position, but field work may be required occasionally. The work ratio is typically 80-90% in the shop and 10-20% in the field. Candidates must be ready to take on various projects.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in metal fabrication.
• Experience with a wide variety of metal fabrication projects.
• Focus on accuracy and timeliness of project completion.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to fabricate from blueprints.
• Ability to Mig weld.
• Ability to set up and troubleshoot a Mig Welder.
• Ability to Tig weld.
• Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to use a smartphone for business purposes only.
• Ability to work without supervision.
• Ability to fabricate in both production and one-off settings.
• Ability to run standard shop tools (welder, bandsaw, brake press, welders, etc).
• Basic Computer Skills.

Nice To Haves

• CAD/Drafting experience.
• Ability to stick weld (If you can pass a 4g).
