About The Position

This role is for an MIS Business Partner – Apprenticeships at Wiltshire College & University Centre, primarily based at the Trowbridge Campus with the flexibility of up to 2 days remote home working. It is a fixed-term maternity cover position for 12 months, with the potential for extension or further opportunities within the organization. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate data, smooth systems, and high-quality management information that supports students, staff, and strategic decision-making across the College, particularly concerning apprenticeships. The position is ideal for individuals with experience in data, administration, or business systems within an educational, office, or professional services environment, or those holding a qualification in Business Administration, IT, Data Management, or a related field looking to develop their career in a supportive and purpose-driven organization. Wiltshire College & University Centre is the largest provider of further and higher education in Wiltshire, offering a diverse curriculum from Level 1 to Level 6 across four main campuses and contributing significantly to the local economy.

Requirements

  • A Level 3 qualification or above in Business Administration, IT, Data, or a related discipline
  • Experience working in an administrative, data, or systems-focused role
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in data handling
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and database systems
  • A logical, organised approach with the ability to meet deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Support the accuracy, maintenance, and development of Management Information Systems (MIS) across the College
  • Input, check, and validate data to ensure accuracy, compliance, and funding requirements are met
  • Produce reports, dashboards, and statistical returns for internal and external stakeholders
  • Support enrolment, funding, and audit processes through high-quality data management
  • Liaise with curriculum and support teams to ensure timely and accurate data capture
  • Assist in maintaining system integrity and improving administrative processes
  • Support the use of digital systems including MIS platforms, spreadsheets, and reporting tools
