Requirements

Strong experience in healthcare interface development
Experience with HL7, X12, and FHIR data exchange
Experience with message transformation
Experience working with healthcare workflows and claims-related transactions
Experience supporting secure, standards-based interoperability
Experience with compliance with applicable privacy/regulatory requirements
Experience with Mirth Connect (NextGen Connect)
Experience with SQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL logic
Experience with scripting languages such as JavaScript or Java
Experience troubleshooting and resolving production issues
Experience with root-cause analysis
Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation, interface specifications, and test plans
Experience supporting testing, validation, and deployment activities
Experience with integration and user acceptance testing
Experience following change control, release management, and incident management processes

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain healthcare integration interfaces using Mirth Connect (NextGen Connect).
Build and optimize message mappings and transformations for HL7 v2, X12, and FHIR exchanges.
Implement secure data handling practices to meet privacy and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA where applicable).
Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and ETL logic required for integrations.
Write and maintain scripts (JavaScript, Java, or other scripting as required) for message routing, transformation, and validation.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement fixes.
Collaborate with clinical, engineering, and product teams to understand requirements and ensure integrations meet functional and performance needs.
Create and maintain technical documentation, interface specifications, and test plans.
Support testing, validation, and deployment activities, including participation in integration and user acceptance testing.
Follow change control, release management, and incident management processes.
