About The Position
The Kansas City Royals are currently seeking one full-time minor league certified athletic trainer. The placement of these positions will depend on experience and best fit. This position will also be present for spring training, season, and fall instructional league.
Requirements
- NATA-BOC ATC in good standing
- CPR/AED Certification
- Strong communication and computer skills
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- CSCS certification preferred
- Prior professional baseball experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist in the prevention, maintenance programs, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation for all players.
- Assist with record-keeping using the electronic medical records system (AHMS)
- Daily game and work out coverage including pre/post treatment and field set up.
- Daily communication of player health status with medical/field staff.
- Understanding and execution of medical department protocols, policies, and philosophies.
- Collaboration with all support staff departments (S&C, sports science, behavioral science, nutrition, etc.) to implement organizational programs and communicate player status.
- Tracking and ordering of medical inventory.
