About The Position

The Ministry Services Officer provides advanced operational and client service support for the Church Extension Fund (CEF) with primary responsibility on ministry lending activities. This role exercises a high degree of responsibility, judgment, and independence in administering ministry loans from application through closing and servicing, while serving as a secondary support resource for Kingdom Investments as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Prior experience in loan servicing, mortgage lending, banking operations, or church extension fund lending strongly preferred, including experience with loan documentation and closings
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, manage complex transactions, and work independently
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact professionally with ministry leaders
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and loan or investment servicing systems
  • As a Christian organization, WatersEdge qualifies for a religious organization exception to Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Therefore, this position requires active membership in a Southern Baptist church (which is defined as a church which is cooperating with Oklahoma Baptists) or in a faith-aligned, evangelical church which declares the Bible as the foundation for its faith and practice.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary operational resource for the Ministry Loan Program, supporting loans from application through closing and ongoing servicing
  • Work closely with borrowing ministries, title companies, attorneys, and closing agents to coordinate and facilitate timely and accurate loan closings
  • Prepare, generate, and review loan documents using the approved loan document platform, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with approved loan terms and internal policies
  • Independently manage loan payoff processes, including coordination of mortgage releases, payoff documentation, and resolution of exceptions.
  • Process and review interest rate adjustments, loan modifications, extensions, and other account changes for accuracy and policy compliance
  • Oversee the tracking and verification of insurance coverage on collateral properties, addressing deficiencies and coordinating follow-up with borrowers and insurers
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for loan-related inquiries, providing guidance on more complex and sensitive issues
  • Provide secondary and backup support for Kingdom Investment operations as needed, including transaction processing and client service support
  • Review and process daily loan and investment-related transactions submitted through Client Connections, email, or other channels, ensuring completeness and adherence to internal controls.
  • Maintain accurate and timely client records in iPhi and related systems; identify discrepancies and recommend process improvements
  • Support audits, examinations, and internal reviews by preparing loan documentation and responding to information requests
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Chief Lending Officer and Vice President, Church Extension Fund
