This role involves developing and monitoring short- and medium-term mining production plans, contributing to the definition and validation of mining methods, and participating in the analysis and validation of mining reserves. The position is based in the South-Eastern region of Morocco.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of mining operations and production planning.
• Good knowledge of different mining methods and their selection criteria.
• Knowledge of issues related to open-pit and underground mining.
• Good understanding of mining reserves, mine design, dilution and recovery concepts.
• Ability to analyze production data and assess the performance of mine plans.
• Proficiency in specialized mining planning and design software (Deswik, Surpac, MineSched, Vulcan or Datamine).
• Analytical mindset, rigor and ability to work in an operational and multidisciplinary environment.
• Degree from an Engineering School / Grande École in Mining Engineering, Mining or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the mining industry, with significant experience in mining planning and production.
• Experience in open-pit (OP) mining is essential.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in underground (UG) mining is highly desirable.
• Experience covering both mining production and planning aspects is a significant asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop and monitor short- and medium-term mining production plans, in line with production objectives and deposit constraints.
• Contribute to the definition and validation of mining methods adapted to the characteristics of the deposit.
• Participate in the analysis and validation of mining reserves and their integration into production plans.
• Contribute to the design and validation of open-pit (OP) and underground (UG) mine designs.
• Monitor dilution and recovery parameters and analyze their impact on mining performance.
• Analyze variances between the production schedule and actual performance and propose the necessary adjustments.
• Develop and compare different production scenarios in order to optimize the mining sequence and mining performance.
• Collaborate with Geology, Production, Geotechnical and other stakeholders to ensure consistency in technical decisions and mine plans.
