About The Position

Kleinfelder is seeking a Mining/Civil Engineering Intern for its Raleigh, North Carolina office. Working under the direct supervision of experienced staff, the intern will assist with field and office tasks on a range of projects. The role offers an opportunity to gain experience in environmental and geotechnical work as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary engineering group.

Candidates should be pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, mining engineering, construction engineering, or a related field. The work includes outdoor field assignments in varied weather and field conditions, potentially over successive days. Following an offer, candidates must satisfactorily complete employment reference checks, verification of professional licensure and/or educational credentials, a motor vehicle report, and a comprehensive background check.

Requirements

• Be pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, mining engineering, construction engineering, or a related field.
• Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Have some knowledge of civil engineering or mining engineering.
• Have good computer skills and be well organized.
• Be able to work well with others and conduct field work.
• Have a valid driver's license and an excellent driving record.
• Be able to satisfactorily complete employment reference checks, verification of professional licensure and/or educational credentials, a motor vehicle report, and a comprehensive background check.
