About The Position

Support the development and execution of Brucejack Mine's 1–3 month mine plan by preparing forecast schedules, analyzing operational performance, and ensuring alignment with longer-term mine plans. Collaborate with Technical Services, Geology, Operations, and Projects teams to deliver safe, practical, and executable mine plans that support production objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Registered or eligible for registration as a GIT/EIT, P.Eng., or P.Geo. with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC).
  • Proficiency with mine planning and design software such as Deswik, Vulcan, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting production, reconciliation, and performance data.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across multiple technical and operational teams.
  • Strong understanding of mining methods, mine planning principles, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and make sound technical recommendations.
  • Comfortable working at a remote camp operation on a 13 days on / 13 days off rotation.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment medical, drug, and alcohol testing and work 12-hour shifts in an underground mining environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in underground mining operations or mine planning is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, present, and distribute monthly 3-month forecast plans aligned with operational priorities.
  • Support weekly short-range planning activities and ensure alignment between daily, weekly, and mid-term plans.
  • Monitor and report compliance to plan, including KPI tracking, performance analysis, and improvement recommendations.
  • Lead the stope design process, coordinating inputs from Geology, Mine Operations, and Engineering stakeholders.
  • Analyze production and reconciliation data to validate planning assumptions and identify risks and opportunities.
  • Maintain reconciliation and conversion reports to support mine planning accuracy and risk management.
  • Conduct underground field inspections to verify readiness of planned mining activities.
  • Collaborate with capital project teams to support implementation of mine improvement initiatives.
  • Support a strong safety culture through active participation in Newmont's Fatality Risk Management and safety programs.
  • Work closely with Mine Engineering, Geology, Operations, and Technical Services teams to ensure mine plans are achievable and aligned with business objectives.
