About The Position

Barminco Mining Services is seeking a Mine Foreman for an underground mining project located 65 miles outside of Elko, Nevada. Reporting to the Project Manager, the Mine Foreman oversees underground crew work assignments to achieve production targets safely and efficiently, and is accountable for their own safety and the safety of coworkers. The role involves a 7-days-on/7-days-off rotation, with day or night shifts and typically at least 12-hour workdays while on site. Charter transportation from a muster point, camp, and meals are provided.

Requirements

At least 5 years of supervisory experience in underground mining.
Strong interpersonal, leadership, and management skills.
Detail-oriented, adaptable, and energetic.
Experience with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Teams.
Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Flexibility and willingness to assist with a variety of tasks.
Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment.
Ability to work rotational camp shifts, including statutory holidays when they fall within the rotation.
Ability to complete a pre-employment Fit-for-Duty medical, including alcohol and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

More than 10 years of underground mining experience is desired.
A technical diploma, degree, or similar qualification in mine engineering is preferred.

Responsibilities

Schedule and assign work for underground crews and mining equipment.
Manage direct reports’ performance to achieve safe production targets, crew attendance, productivity, and quality goals.

Work with Project Managers to plan cost-effective production.
Coordinate with the Maintenance Foreman to maintain equipment reliability.
Remain open to learning new methods and share skills and knowledge with team members.
