About The Position
As our Mine Engineering Intern, you will work with Long Range Planning, Short Range Planning, Ore Control, Surveying, and Technical Support in a producing underground hard rock mining operation. You’ll start every job with safety first by inspecting your workplace and your equipment. To thrive in this role, you will complete project work as assigned in mine ventilation, rock mechanics, and mining design. Internships occur between May and September 1, 2027.
Requirements
- Must be enrolled in school for the Fall 2026 semester in mine engineering, or related engineering field.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug testing.
- Must possess current authorization to work in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Complete project work as assigned in mine ventilation, rock mechanics, and mining design.
- Work with mine surveyors to facilitate underground and/or surface surveys and work on mine ventilation, rock mechanics projects and miscellaneous design projects.
- Work with operating and maintenance departments in problem solving efforts to improve safety, efficiencies, cost controls, and protection of the environment.
- Inspect every piece of equipment and each work area before starting the day for your safety and the safety of your team.
