About The Position

Foran Mining Corporation is seeking an Engineer in Training to join their McIlvenna Bay team as part of their EIT Program. This full-time position involves a 14/14 rotation and offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across the full mining cycle under the mentorship of seasoned professionals. The Engineer in Training will work directly with the Chief Mine Engineer and participate in a structured development journey covering all facets of underground operations. Rotations will include development, drilling and blasting, mine planning, ventilation, ground control, surveying, backfill, and operational services. The role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams in Geology, Metallurgy, Maintenance, Safety, and Operations to foster a comprehensive understanding of safe, efficient, and innovative mining practices.

Requirements

  • On track to graduate in 2026, or have graduated within the last two years, with a bachelor's degree in mining engineering.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Highly curious, organized, and results oriented.
  • Willingness to work underground and in a remote camp-based environment.
  • Must be legally able to work in Canada.
  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment medical assessment, which includes drug and alcohol testing.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to safety-sensitive environments is an asset.
  • Previous co-op or operational experience is preferred.

Responsibilities
