About The Position

Libbey’s Millwright team members perform highly skilled mechanical maintenance, special setup, and repair work throughout the Toledo Manufacturing Facility. Working from plans, specifications, or verbal instructions, they assemble, install, troubleshoot, and repair a wide variety of mechanical equipment and devices. The role also involves planning and performing major repairs and overhauls, making alterations to operating equipment, and contributing to equipment development and improvement. Millwrights work with CMMS planning and structured reporting.

Requirements

• Possess a skilled trades journey person’s card, or have 3–5 years of equivalent, verified experience.
• Be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Be able to perform overhead work and work at heights.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Pass pre-employment tests, including a physical, fit-for-duty test, drug screen, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Erect, assemble, and repair mechanical devices, including conveyors and drives, speed reducers, carton sealers, corrugated paper cutting and handling machines, robots, balers, air compressors, and vacuum pumps.
• Install or replace sprockets, roller chain, gears, bearings, and similar drive components.
• Precisely align shafts, couplings, motors, and related devices.
• Troubleshoot operating equipment.
• Plan and carry out major repairs and overhauls.
• Improvise alterations or repairs to operating equipment and work on equipment development and improvement.
• Work effectively with CMMS planning and structured reporting.
