About The Position
Millwright is a highly skilled trades professional responsible for the full lifecycle of industrial machinery, including installation, alignment, maintenance, repair, dismantling, and relocation. This role requires precision, mechanical expertise, and the ability to work in demanding environments while ensuring operational efficiency and safety. Millwrights serve as critical contributors to production uptime, equipment reliability, and successful project execution across manufacturing facilities, power plants, and construction sites.
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on millwright experience in industrial settings
- Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, alignment techniques, and precision measurements
- Experience with rigging, hoisting, and heavy equipment operation
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs regularly
- Willingness to travel extensively (domestic and international)
- Flexibility to work variable schedules, including overtime, weekends, and outages
- Comfortable working in non-climate-controlled and physically demanding environments
- Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT)
- Overhead cranes
- Scissor lifts and aerial lifts
- Precision alignment tools and diagnostic equipment
Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, and align machinery according to engineering specifications and precision tolerances
- Execute equipment setups for new installations, upgrades, and relocations
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment
- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics, inspection tools, and experience
- Replace or repair defective components to minimize downtime
- Safely dismantle machinery for transportation or upgrades
- Reassemble and recalibrate equipment at new or existing locations
- Ensure equipment integrity throughout the relocation process
- Conduct precision alignment (laser or manual) for optimal performance
- Calibrate machinery to meet operational tolerances and safety standards
