Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Journeyman license preferred.
  • 3+ years of mechanical experience.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Willingness to work on-call/shifts, overtime, and weekends.
  • Physical strength to handle heavy equipment.
  • Knowledge of schematics and 'Lock out Tag Out' principles.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shift on a 2-3-2 rotating schedule, alternating day/night to night/day every two weeks.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair machinery (e.g., conveyors, pumps, compressors).
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Dismantle, move, and reassemble equipment.
  • Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues.
  • Conduct rigging, lifting, and precision alignment.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Keep detailed maintenance records.
  • Assist in the installation and testing of new machinery.
  • Train junior staff and suggest process improvements.
