Requirements

5-7 years of industry related experience may be substituted in lieu of degree/certificate.
Ability to maintain health, safety, and environmental standards as a personal performance core value
Basic computer knowledge
Basic mechanical knowledge and ability
Physical capability, availability, willingness, and ability to work in a team environment
Good interpersonal and influential skills
Willingness to work overtime and be on call
Ability to work under minimum supervision
Willingness to travel for training
Effective organizational, time management, and communication skills
Self-motivation in advancing to the highest level possible

Nice To Haves

Academic degrees, certifications and licenses (i.e. Associate’s degree, Bachelor’s degree, etc.)
Chemical or manufacturing plant technical knowledge and/or related work experience

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic and preventive maintenance tasks on bearings, pumps, gearboxes, compressors, and turbines.
Demonstrate competency in diagnostic and trouble shooting skills.
Perform shaft alignment using dial indicators. Laser Alignment (Rotalign)
Complete assigned work in a safe and proficient manner.
Inspect, identify, change out, and repair pieces of equipment such as pumps, motors, gearboxes, compressors, and turbines. DGS Replacement
Perform visual inspections, diagnose equipment problems, and take necessary steps to perform repairs.
Read and understand repair manuals, order replacement parts, and apply manufacturer’s equipment specifications.
Perform safe rigging and lifting tasks.
Work involves climbing ladders, stairs and use of safety harnesses. Additionally, working out of man lifts or man baskets is required.
Understand and comply with established departmental processes and procedures designed to support internal controls efforts. Identify and bring to the attention of department management internal controls deficiencies.
Utilize all necessary measures and best practices to safely and responsibly repair and maintain rotating equipment in a chemical manufacturing facility, thereby ensuring optimal performance levels with minimum downtime.
