About The Position

We’re looking for a Millwright who wants to own a real maintenance program — preventive, not just reactive. At our Redmond, OR production site, you’ll be responsible for keeping all plant systems running: production and packaging lines, baling equipment, conveyance, hydraulics, pneumatics, dust collection, and building systems. This is a solo maintenance role — you have real ownership over the program, the schedule, and how problems get solved.

You’ll work an early shift, 4:00 AM to 12:30 PM, so you’re back home before most of the workday has even started. Your manager will know your name, and when something comes up, someone picks up the phone. If you want to build something that lasts — a formal preventive maintenance program in a growing company — this is the role for it.

Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience maintaining industrial plant systems: mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and material-handling equipment
• Experience with production or packaging line maintenance, baling equipment, conveyors, or dust collection is a strong asset
• Trained and experienced in lockout/tagout, confined space entry, and hot work safety protocols
• Comfortable working independently — this is a solo maintenance role requiring self-direction and ownership
• Reliable transportation to the Redmond, OR site

Responsibilities

• Maintain all plant systems — production and packaging lines, baling equipment, conveyance, hydraulics, pneumatics dust collection, and building systems — in safe, reliable operating condition
• Diagnose root cause on breakdowns and restore equipment to full production capability
• Execute the preventive maintenance schedule so failures are prevented rather than reacted to
• Document every work order, repair, and PM task — what failed, what was done, and what parts were used
• Maintain accurate equipment history, PM schedules, manuals, and drawings so the site has a reliable maintenance record
• Use documented failure history to identify recurring problems and drive permanent fixes
• Identify, specify, and order parts and materials required for repairs, PMs, and projects
• Maintain critical spare parts on hand so high-risk failures don’t stop production while waiting on supply
• Coordinate with vendors and the Plant Manager on pricing, lead times, and purchase approvals
• Scope, plan, and execute maintenance and equipment improvement projects from start to finish
• Deliver committed project milestones on schedule, coordinating downtime windows with the Plant Manager
• Commission completed work, confirm equipment performs to specification, and hand off with full documentation
• Follow and reinforce lockout/tagout, confined space, hot work, and all OSHA requirements on every job
• Report and investigate incidents and near misses; complete corrective actions on equipment promptly
• Keep equipment calibrated so product output holds consistent quality and spec
