About The Position

The Millwright installs, assembles, and positions machinery according to blueprints, schematics, and manufacturer guidelines. The role performs routine maintenance and repairs, inspects equipment, diagnoses mechanical issues, and troubleshoots problems, including by entering machinery. The Millwright communicates with operators about equipment issues, completes work orders and deficiency notes using a computer, and maintains clean and orderly shop and work areas while following company safety policies.

Responsibilities

Install, assemble, and position machinery according to blueprints, schematics, and manufacturer guidelines.
Perform routine maintenance, including cleaning and lubricating equipment, and repair or replace worn, damaged, or defective parts.
Inspect machinery, perform diagnostic tests, and troubleshoot mechanical problems, including by entering machinery.
Communicate with operators about equipment issues using radio and in-person communication.
Use a computer and keyboard to complete work orders and note deficiencies.
Operate machinery, mobile equipment, vehicles, hand tools, and power tools as needed for the work.
Wear required personal protective equipment as needed.
Enter confined spaces.
Maintain and clean the shop, tools, and work areas.
Follow company safety policies and report safety concerns.
