About The Position

PepsiCo Foods Canada has current openings at the Frito Lay Facility in Cambridge, ON for a Licensed Millwright. This role involves performing preventative and predictive maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and reduce unplanned downtime. The position requires carrying out assigned daily maintenance tasks with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency, and responding quickly and effectively to emergency breakdowns and troubleshooting issues. The Millwright will also support root cause analysis efforts, work collaboratively with operators and other skilled trades, and communicate clearly during shift handovers and team meetings. This role is crucial for maintaining equipment reliability and operational efficiency in a fast-paced, high-demand food manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Must hold a valid Millwright (433A) license in the province of Ontario
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required
  • Ability to use machine shop equipment and weld
  • Strong work ethic, with a positive attitude and motivation to succeed in a team environment
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50lbs as required
  • Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset with a focus on safety, efficiency, and reliability
  • Solid communication skills and basic computer literacy (e.g., entering work orders, logging maintenance tasks)
  • Must be flexible and available to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required by the operation

Nice To Haves

  • A secondary trade license (e.g., Electrical, Welding) is an asset and may qualify for additional compensation
  • Prior experience working with production or packaging equipment in a food manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and recording hours

  • Manage through emergency breakdowns
