About The Position

Taurus Industrial Group is seeking a skilled Millwright to work in Bay City, Texas. The Millwright installs, maintains, and repairs machinery and equipment, helping ensure reliable and efficient operations while minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity. The role works closely with the production team to identify and troubleshoot equipment issues and develop solutions.

The position requires experience with machinery installation, maintenance, and repair; the ability to interpret technical diagrams and documentation; and strong troubleshooting skills. Preferred experience includes work in manufacturing or industrial settings, welding and fabrication, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a recognized Millwright apprenticeship program or equivalent experience.
• Experience installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer specifications.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience with welding and fabrication.
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment according to diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer specifications.
• Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues and provide solutions to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with the production team to identify and address equipment issues.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.
