About The Position

The Millwright installs and maintains equipment used in asphalt manufacturing. The role is in the Asphalt Plants department and reports to the Plant Manager / Yard Foreman. The position involves dismantling, repairing, and reassembling heavy industrial machinery; installing equipment such as shafting and conveyors; and selecting appropriate machines, techniques, and tools for moving equipment and completing jobs. The employee may also be assigned other duties as necessary. The duties listed are not exhaustive and may be supplemented.

Requirements

High school diploma.
Knowledge of hydraulics, belt systems, motors, and other industrial machine mechanisms.
In-depth knowledge of construction equipment and machinery.
Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
Valid driver's license with positive points and reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Millwright or in a similar job is preferred.

Responsibilities

Install and maintain equipment used in asphalt manufacturing.
Dismantle, repair, and reassemble heavy industrial machinery.
Install equipment such as shafting and conveyors.
Use hand tools, measuring tools, and welding and brazing equipment.
Determine which machines, techniques, and tools to use when moving equipment and completing jobs.
Perform other duties as deemed necessary or assigned.
