About The Position
This role is responsible for the repair, installation, and maintenance of machinery and equipment. The Millwright will work with various tools and materials to ensure equipment is properly set up, aligned, and functioning according to specifications. Adherence to safety protocols and company programs is essential.
Requirements
- Must have all the required hand tools.
- Proficient with precision instruments to set and align equipment is required.
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, layout plans, or other drawings is required.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a millwright is required.
Nice To Haves
- Certificate of welding ability is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Repair and lubricate machines and equipment.
- Install machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings, using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools and power tools.
- Dismantle machines and other equipment.
- Move machinery and equipment, using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks.
- Construct foundation for machines, using hand tools and building materials such as wood, cement, and steel.
- Position steel beams to support bedplates of machines and equipment, using blueprints and schematic drawings, to determine work procedures.
- Assemble and install equipment, using hand tools and power tools.
- Assemble machines, bolts, welds, or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures.
- Align machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs.
- Responsible for adhering to all company safety and QA/QC programs and OSHA regulations.
