About The Position

As the Millwright, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery and mechanical equipment within NCS's manufacturing facility. You will help ensure production equipment operates safely and efficiently by performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical issues, and executing repairs with minimal downtime, working closely with production, engineering, and facilities teams.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience as a millwright, industrial mechanic, or in a comparable mechanical maintenance role
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Experience with precision alignment tools and techniques
  • Familiarity with lockout/tagout and general industrial safety practices
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Nice To Haves

  • Millwright apprenticeship completion or trade school certification
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial equipment production environment
  • Welding or fabrication experience
  • Forklift certification
  • Experience with CMMS (computerized maintenance management systems)

Responsibilities

  • Install, align, dismantle, and reassemble industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to specifications and blueprints
  • Diagnose mechanical malfunctions and perform repairs on production equipment, conveyors, pumps, motors, and related systems
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance inspections and address issues before they cause production downtime
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, blueprints, and equipment diagrams to guide installation and repair work
  • Fabricate, machine, or modify parts and components as needed using shop tools and equipment
  • Align and calibrate machinery components, including shafts, bearings, gears, and belts, to precise tolerances
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems to identify root causes of equipment failure
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory
  • Collaborate with production supervisors and engineering staff to plan equipment upgrades, moves, or new installations
  • Follow all facility safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures, when servicing equipment
  • Respond promptly to unplanned equipment breakdowns to minimize production disruption
  • Recommend improvements to equipment reliability, maintenance procedures, or workflow efficiency
  • Comply with all applicable OSHA, EPA, local regulatory laws, and company safety policies
