Millwright

About The Position

ST Engineering MRAS is seeking a skilled Millwright to join its Facilities and Maintenance group. The role involves a broad range of facility and manufacturing support tasks, with assignments that may change quickly. The position is explicitly on an off shift; seniority may determine shift assignments, and off-shift work is likely. Duties include building, rigging, painting, welding, assisting with office moves, installing and repairing floors, equipment demolition, unloading equipment and supplies, and moving, erecting, and setting up equipment. The team also helps prepare the campus for tours, large meetings, audits, and weather events. The Millwright uses mechanical knowledge and safe rigging practices to dismantle, repair, move, and erect manufacturing equipment and building structures. The role also supports overhead crane inspections and repairs, facility improvements and upkeep, and other maintenance work. It requires using drawings and measurements to plan work, working at heights, and safely operating forklifts and JLG lifts while maintaining required certifications. The work is physically demanding and may involve loud noises, potential hazards, dirty environments, frequent standing, heavy lifting, tight spaces, and physical effort to operate equipment and load or unload trucks and trailers. Appropriate personal protective equipment and safe work practices are required. Compensation is $38.00 per hour plus shift differential. The employer states that employment offers are contingent on satisfactory background-check and drug-screening results.

  • Assist with overhead crane inspections and repairs, including work at heights.
  • Obtain replacement parts from facilities engineering, OEMs, or supervisors; create dimensioned sketches for parts that lack clear engineering definition to support reverse engineering and fabrication.

  • Check work using precision measuring instruments, including leveling tools, overhead scales, and digital measuring devices.
  • Maintain and improve the facility through cleaning, painting, building, organizing, erecting storage cages, and installing doors, windows, walls, and floors, while following safe work habits and 5S practices.
