The Millwright will be responsible for reading and understanding equipment drawings and blueprints, performing routine preventative maintenance, and fabricating steel components. This role involves assessing repairs, estimating timeframes, and executing machinery repairs in a timely manner. The Millwright will also identify and resolve mechanical and hydraulic problems, measure and build shafts, and replace components like sprockets, bearings, and chains. Effective communication with operators and planning/scheduling departments is crucial. A strict adherence to lock-out policies is mandatory to ensure safety. The role also includes submitting work requests and completing work orders with detailed information on work performed, parts used, and time spent.
