About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Millwright/Welder for a manufacturing/recycling facility in Chapel Glen, IN (West Indianapolis). This role involves performing corrective and preventative mechanical maintenance on manufacturing equipment and systems, troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems, installing new plant machinery, and performing steel fabrication. The position requires the ability to pass a Stick Welding Test (SMAW) and possess strong mechanical maintenance/millwright abilities. The role is commutable from Indianapolis, Avon, Brownsburg, Speedway, Clermont, and Mooresville. Applicants must live in the USA and be eligible to work there. Sponsorship or Visa support is not offered.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of recent industrial maintenance, millwright, or machine repair experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Must pass an S.M.A.W. (stick welding) test; strong knowledge of metal properties and safe welding practices.
  • Ability to use computer systems for maintenance documentation or work orders (CMMS experience a plus).
  • Proficient in Mechanical Troubleshooting Skills.
  • Proficient in Maintenance and Repair Skills.
  • Must live in the USA and be eligible to work and live in the USA.

  • CMMS experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform corrective and preventative mechanical maintenance on manufacturing equipment and systems.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical systems using technical documentation, schematics, and drawings.
  • Install new plant machinery and perform mechanical and fabrication work as needed.
  • Repair and maintain pumps, piping systems, gearboxes, conveyors, and other process equipment.
  • Perform steel fabrication, repairs, and modifications to support plant operations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with company and site-specific safety programs.
  • Promote and enforce environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards across all activities.
  • Support other maintenance and production needs as assigned by supervision.
