We’re looking for a full-time, Millwright Specialist to join our Day & Zimmermann team located in Texarkana, Texas

Requirements

• Reads and understands operating instructions
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Performs house cleaning duties in work area.
• Performs routine maintenance on equipment and determines when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
• Follows all safety and maintenance instructions in the performance of work assignments.
• Completion of training program or equivalent.
• 3 - 4 years work at journey level.

Responsibilities

• Erects structural steelwork, installs production plant and machine shop equipment; locates, sets and levels machines and equipment; operates power tools, welders, cutters and other shop tools.
• Reads and understands operating instructions.
• Performs retooling, adjusting, retiming, pressure checks, and test runs of machines to insure that the finished end item is satisfactory in appearance and according to specifications.
• Debugs automated equipment; makes test runs; sets up equipment for production operation; and maintains automated equipment.
• May be required to consult with Design Engineers from the standpoint of assisting in the development of new tooling and equipment with the minimum amount of maintenance problems.
• May be required to consult with personnel engaged in the manufacturing or construction of new tooling and equipment.
• May instruct and assist other Millwrights in the maintenance of automated equipment.
• Follows training when work requires collecting, transporting, storing, treating, disposing and/or otherwise handling of hazardous waste and its related documentation.
• After completion of job tasks, responsible for cleaning up work area.
• Maintains segregation of contaminated/hazardous waste used in area of responsibility in accordance with prescribed procedures.
• Receives training as outlined in Company's Hazardous Waste Training Program.
