About The Position

IMI is seeking a full-time Millwright Foreman local to the Watkinsville, GA area. The role involves successfully completing Industrial Mechanical, Inc.’s Foreman training, providing leadership for a safe, positive, and respectful work culture, and functioning as the on-site Quality Lead. The Foreman will supervise and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in dismantling, moving, assembling, and installing industrial machinery, ensuring work is performed safely, correctly, and timely. This position also requires serving as a liaison between customers, vendors, project managers, and other employees, with effective communication skills, especially for directing others. Responsibilities include inspecting the quality of all work, assisting workers, analyzing and resolving work-related problems, reviewing materials, checking equipment, maintaining time and tracking production, communicating with Project Managers and General Foremen about schedules, multitasking, managing employees and projects, ensuring safety and hazard assessments are completed, performing competency assessments of subordinate employees, and working with Leadership to develop training plans and coaches.

Requirements

  • 3+ years' experience

Nice To Haves

  • NCCER or AWS certification or completion of a related program through an accredited technical school is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Successfully complete Industrial Mechanical, Inc.’s Foreman training.
  • Provide leadership that result in a safe, positive, and respectful work culture.
  • Function as the on-site Quality Lead as required to support the IMI Quality Management System.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in dismantling, moving, assembling, and installing industrial machinery to ensure work is performed safely, correctly, and timely.
  • Serve as a liaison between customers, vendors, project managers, and other employees regarding current and future projects.
  • Inspect quality of all work to ensure company standards and project specifications are met.
  • Assist workers in their performance of assigned duties.
  • Analyze and resolve work related problems.
  • Review materials received at jobsite to ensure it is correct and not defective.
  • Check equipment to ensure proper working conditions.
  • Maintain time and track production.
  • Communicate with Project Managers and General Foremen about establishing and adjusting work sequences to meet schedules.
  • Multitask and manage multiple employees and projects at once.
  • Ensure that all initial safety and hazard assessments (JHA’s and Worksite Safety Inspections) required by Industrial Mechanical, Inc. and our customers are completed before work begins.
  • Perform competency assessments of subordinate employees.
  • Work with Leadership to develop training plans and coaches to ensure that crews meet required levels of quality.
