About The Position

Audubon is seeking a Millwright II to join its team in an off-site office. The role performs skilled maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of industrial machinery and heavy equipment at construction sites or live facilities. The Millwright II also supports health, safety, and environmental requirements by following safe work practices, participating in HSE activities, and identifying and reporting hazards and unsafe conditions.

Requirements

Three years of experience in the construction industry.
Demonstrated industrial construction or maintenance history.
Must be able to pass client-specific safety training.
Must be able to obtain site and safety training certifications required for the project.
Knowledge of industrial machinery and equipment.
In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and HSE guidelines.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to communicate and report effectively.
Aptitude in math and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to read, comprehend, and carry out instructions.
Ability to work in a team environment and independently when required.
Ability to motivate, lead, teach, and train others on proper work and safety procedures.
Ability to think analytically, apply sound judgment, and solve problems.
Must pass pre-employment screening, including background and drug testing.
Must have a valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company requirements.

Responsibilities

Dismantle machines using hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand tools.
Plan, inspect, verify, and document the scope of work.
Operate engine lathes, grinders, and files.
Work with complex, precision industrial machinery, including ball mills, ID fans, lube coil skids, turbines, conveyors, generators, hydraulic systems, pumps, gears, bearings, and compressors.
Use precision leveling and alignment tools and measuring instruments, including calipers, squares, micrometers, and optical instruments, to measure angles, material thickness, and small distances.
Fit bearings, align gears and wheels, attach motors, and connect belts according to manufacturer blueprints and drawings.
Fabricate and install parts, equipment, and machinery by measuring, cutting, drilling, and/or welding.
Follow direction from a supervisor.
Use rigging and hoisting devices, such as chokers, chain falls, and come-alongs, to move equipment and materials into place.
Conduct preventive maintenance, including lubrication and fixing or repairing worn parts.
Perform duties in a manner that protects personal and team health and safety.
Participate in required HSE training, meetings, and reporting activities.
Identify and report hazards, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
Follow safe work practices and comply with applicable regulatory requirements.
