About The Position

Audubon is currently seeking a Millwright II to join our team in our Off Site Office. The Millwright II performs skilled maintenance, diagnoses, and repairs on industrial machinery and heavy equipment while being in construction sites or live facilities.

Requirements

  • Must be able to pass client specific safety training.
  • Three years' experience in the construction industry.
  • Demonstrated industrial construction/maintenance history experience.
  • Must be able to obtain site and Safety training certifications required for the project.
  • Knowledge of industrial machinery and equipment.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and HSE guidelines.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate and report effectively.
  • Aptitude in math and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently when required.
  • Ability to motivate, lead, teach and train on proper work and safety procedures.
  • Ability to think analytically, apply sound judgment, and solve problems.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing.
  • Individuals must have a valid driver's license and driving record that meets Company requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Related trade school education is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Will dismantle machines using hammers, wrenches, crowbars and other hand tools.
  • Will plan, inspect, verify and document scope of work.
  • Operates engineer lathes, grinders and files.
  • Works with industry-specific and high complex precision machines including but not limited to ball mills, ID fans, lube coil skids, turbines, conveyors, generators, hydraulic systems, pumps, gears, bearings, compressors etc.
  • Uses precision leveling and alignment tools in order to measure angles, material thickness and small distances with calipers, squares, micrometers, optical instruments and other tools.
  • Will fit bearings, align gears and wheels, attach motors and connect belts according to manufacturer’s blueprints and drawings.
  • Fabricates and installs parts, equipment and machinery by measuring, cutting, drilling and/or welding.
  • Follows direction from supervisor.
  • Uses rigging and hoisting devices such as chokers, chain falls and come along to move equipment / materials into place.
  • Conducts preventative maintenance such as lubrication and fixing or repairing worn parts.
  • Performing duties in a manner that protects personal and team health and safety.
  • Participating in required HSE training, meetings, and reporting activities.
  • Identifying and reporting hazards, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
  • Following safe work practices and complying with applicable regulatory requirements.
