About The Position

IMI is seeking a full-time Millwright Foreman local to the Augusta, GA area. This role involves providing leadership and supervising staff in laying out, fabricating, aligning, joining, installing, repairing, and welding materials. The Millwright Foreman will also serve as a liaison between customers, vendors, project managers, and other employees, analyze and resolve work-related problems, and ensure the accuracy of received materials and proper working condition of equipment. The position requires installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment according to plans and drawings, assembling and installing various equipment components, and aligning machines and equipment using various tools.

Requirements

  • 3+ years' experience
  • Ability to apply basic math arithmetic skills to work related situations.
  • Must be highly safety conscious and have ability to see and escape from dangerous situations

Nice To Haves

  • NCCER or AWS certification or completion of a related program through an accredited technical school is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, functioning as the Quality Lead, to supervise and coordinate the activities of staff engaged in laying out, fabricating, aligning, joining, installing, repairing, and welding materials.
  • Serve as a liaison between customers, vendors, project managers, and other employees regarding current and future projects.
  • Assist workers in their performance of all assigned duties and inspect quality of all work.
  • Analyze and resolve work related problems.
  • Review materials received at jobsite for accuracy and check equipment for proper working conditions.
  • Maintain time and track production; communicate if work schedules or crew needs to be adjusted to meet deadlines.
  • Install, repair, and maintain machinery and equipment according to construction plans, blueprints, and other drawings in industrial establishments, using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Assemble and install equipment, such as shafting, conveyors, gearboxes and pumps.
  • Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs.
