About The Position

Idaho Forest Group is seeking a Millwright Fabricator to join its traveling Central Fab Shop (CFS) team, which services the company’s objective of maintaining state-of-the-art technology throughout its mills. The position performs a range of fabrication, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment modification work to improve production quality and efficiency.

The role follows a Friday-through-Monday day-shift schedule and may require various shifts and overtime as needed. Work includes operating heavy equipment and working at elevated heights from man lifts or baskets. The position requires physical activity throughout a shift, including standing or sitting, reaching, bending, kneeling, walking, climbing stairs, and listening to equipment.

Requirements

• Extensive cutting, welding, and fabrication skills.
• Experience operating cranes and/or with rigging.
• Knowledge of industrial machinery and processes.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read and understand schematics and blueprints.
• Ability to work various shifts and days, and overtime as needed.
• High school diploma or GED, or willingness to obtain one quickly as a condition of employment.
• Ability to pass a hair follicle drug test, a physical, and a background check.

Nice To Haves

• Valid driver’s license is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Comprehend and perform duties in accordance with rules, regulations, and JSAs.
• Weld, cut, fabricate, assemble, install, and repair processing equipment and machines to improve production quality and efficiency.
• Dismantle and reassemble equipment for modifications or upgrades.
• Lay out, cut, grind, form, and weld parts into complete units or subunits.
• Troubleshoot or inspect equipment, structures, and materials to identify the causes of issues or other problems.
• Operate man lifts, scissor lifts, forklifts, and other types of heavy equipment.
• Work at elevated heights from man lifts or baskets.
• Keep work areas clean.
• Perform other duties as needed.
