About The Position

Our client, a prominent brand in the Agri Sector, is seeking to employ a Millwright/ Electrician. The role will be based in Kirkwood. The successful candidate will carry out preventative maintenance and breakdown work, inspect the plant, repair equipment defects, and perform fabrication, assembly, and installation work. The candidate may also be required to lead a team.

Requirements

• Trade-tested Artisan (Electrician or Millwright).
• Three years of post-qualification experience in the relevant trade.
• Strong mechanical background.
• Code 08 driver's license.
• Own reliable transport.
• Willingness to work overtime and shift work.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to health and safety, environmental, quality, and housekeeping requirements.
• Execute preventative maintenance and breakdown work.
• Plan assigned work.
• Apply fault-finding techniques and repair equipment defects.
• Clean, maintain, and repair mechanical parts, components, and equipment as directed by the manager.
• Conduct regular plant inspections.
• Carry out workshop fabrication, equipment assembly, and installation.
• Attain and maintain relevant licenses and authorizations required for allocated duties, such as basic rigging and working at heights.
• Lead a team if required.
