About The Position

The Millworks Door Builder is responsible for the accurate building of interior doors for customer orders. They will also be responsible for transferring the material from the Interior Door Department to the Shipping Department staging area while acting in a safe and professional manner. This position reports directly to the Manager and works closely with the warehouse team.

Requirements

  • Ability to speak, write, and read English required
  • Ability to read a tape measure
  • Must be able to be mobile in warehouse
  • Must be able to move heavy awkward objects in warehouse
  • Must be able to operate all machines and tools necessary to complete door orders
  • Able to listen to and follow instructions
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work amidst a busy work environment
  • Shoes that are puncture resistant, slip resistant, and made of leather or composite material required
  • Ability to work cordially, professionally, diplomatically, and with a high level of customer service in a dynamic environment
  • Demonstrate sound judgment in dealing with sensitive business matters with internal and external customers of all types
  • Ability and willingness to identify processes, tools, and/or procedures that may be improved upon to improve the workplace and outcomes for our customers
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management and employees at a high skill level and speak effectively in front of groups. Communication can include but is not limited to: in-person (verbal and non-verbal), written, e-mail, telephone, and public speaking to medium size groups
  • Strong focus, planning, organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage changing priorities, handle multiple projects, and do what is necessary to meet deadlines, while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to function independently, as part of a team, and as a leader within your own sales cohort with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to excellence

Responsibilities

  • Building doors accurately, safely, and professionally in a fast-paced environment
  • Ensuring the quality of material before shipping
  • Verify material backorders
  • Inform management and purchasing agent of material needs
  • Moving product within the warehouse, with a forklift if needed
  • Promptly report all accidents/incidents
  • Sit as member of the safety committee as requested
  • Keep area clean and organized
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
