About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mill-Turn Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC mill-turn machines to produce high-precision parts according to engineering specifications. The mill-turn Operator will play a vital role in ensuring production efficiency, product quality, and safety in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Requirements

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience operating CNC Mill/Turn or similar machines in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of CNC programming, machine setup, and operation.
Familiarity with Mill/Turn equipment.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
Precision in measuring and inspecting parts.
Knowledge of GD&T.
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to solve production-related issues quickly and effectively.
Understanding of OSHA and other safety regulations related to machine operation and workplace safety.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods of time.
Must have good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

Nice To Haves

Experience with multi-axis CNC turning mills and advanced machine tools.
Knowledge of tooling selection and optimization.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
Familiarity with CAD/CAM systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC mill-turn (or other relevant machinery) to perform precision turning/milling operations different alloys and other materials according to design specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and machine setup sheets to determine appropriate machining procedures.
Use CNC programming software (Esprit) or manual programming to set up machining jobs.
Inspect parts using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure parts meet specified dimensions and quality standards.
Follow Quality plan requirements.
Perform routine maintenance on turning mills, including tool changes, cleaning, and lubrication.
Report any mechanical issues and collaborate with maintenance teams when needed.
Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols.
Ensure that the work area is kept clean and organized, and that all machines are operated safely and efficiently.
Identify issues with machine operation, tooling, or materials and troubleshoot to minimize downtime and ensure continued production.
Complete production reports, track parts produced, and update job sheets with necessary data.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inspections.
Work closely with engineers, quality control teams, and supervisors to ensure timely and quality production.
