About The Position

The Mill Operator will be responsible for the manufacturing of livestock feed and all related paperwork. Additional duties include loading/unloading trucks, customer service, grounds and equipment maintenance, warehouse maintenance, and other related feed production duties, forklift operation and grain handling. The shift is approximately 6:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Requirements

• Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software.
• Understanding of safe working conditions and operations of vehicles.
• Willing and able to work well with others, to take and give constructive criticism, and to lend a helping hand.
• Ability to use analytical techniques for problem solving, coordination, and decision making.
• High School Diploma.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture livestock feed and complete all related paperwork.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Provide customer service.
• Perform grounds and equipment maintenance.
• Perform warehouse maintenance.
• Perform other related feed production duties.
• Operate a forklift.
• Handle grain.
• Work independently and efficiently with little or no supervision.
• Assist other mill employees with operating activities.
• Operate scales for inbound and outbound trucks.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance, including housekeeping items.
• Understand feed ingredients and proper handling techniques.
• Accurately distribute feed directly to a feed truck.
• Operate equipment safely.
• Consistently follow all laws, regulations, and safety rules.
• Properly complete necessary paperwork and records.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
