About The Position

Mercer Landmark is seeking a part-time Mill Operator for its Celina feed facility. The position works evenings for 8–12 hours per week and performs varied duties in and around feed mill operations, including assisting with feed manufacturing, loading feed trucks, unloading ingredients, and driving a forklift. The role also involves working inside and outside the facility, completing housekeeping, maintaining a safe and orderly workplace, and serving customers.

Requirements

• Highly motivated and able to work independently.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic reading skills.
• Organized, with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Basic knowledge of workplace safety procedures.
• Possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver’s license before employment.
• Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the work.
• Willingness and ability to perform manual work following instructions.
• Some knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials, and supplies used in heavy/highway construction work.
• Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods, and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.
• Understand the seasonality of the farm supply business and the in-season time commitment.
• Able to interact and communicate effectively with customers and individuals at all levels of the organization.

Nice To Haves

• Some experience driving a forklift.

Responsibilities

• Operate WEM automation to make animal feed.
• Work outside and in the facility, performing tasks as needed.
• Complete daily housekeeping.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly facility.
• Serve patrons in a manner that promotes the company and customer service and provides the services they need for their operations.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
• Assist with feed manufacturing, load feed trucks, unload ingredients, and drive a forklift.
