About The Position

The Mill Operator (Floatation) will report to the Mill Supervisor. The Mill Operator will be responsible for performing various duties within the Mill and supporting Mill crews. The Keno Hill mine, located within the Keno Hill Silver District in Canada’s Yukon Territory, is one of the highest-grade silver districts in the world. It comprises 242 square kilometres (km2) with numerous mineral deposits and more than 35 historical past-producing mine sites. Keno Hill is expected to produce ~3.0 million ounces of silver in 2026. The mine is owned and operated by Hecla Mining Company, headquartered in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Established in 1891, Hecla has a rich history as a distinguished and respected precious metals producer. Requirements

3 to 5 years mill operating experience.
Willingness to work in a team environment.
Ability to operate in a safe and responsible manner.
Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors.
Strong safety mindset.
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
Ability to understand and follow instructions.
Pre-Employment Testing (drug & alcohol, blood lead, and audiogram)

Responsibilities

Operate bobcat, mini excavator, wheeled loader.
Operate an overhead crane.
Operate a combination of circuits, crushing, dewatering, grinding, flotation.
General Mill and yard clean up.
Other duties as assigned.
