About The Position

Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is looking for a Roll Form Mill Operator. This position will be responsible for the roll form operations and equipment of the mill to insure continuous operation during the shift. This will be a 2nd shift position; Monday - Friday, 3:00pm to 1:30am.

Requirements

High school or equivalent
Experience in using special measuring devices, calipers, tape measure.
Must be able to navigate, set up equipment controller for proper operation and parts programming.
Roll Tooling experience with set ups and change over.
Change out press dies, cut off jaws, blades, and refill oil levels of equipment.
Demonstrate ability to meet negotiated time frames
Good Mechanical Aptitude
Forklift and overhead crane certification
Good communication skills with coworkers to insure continuous flow of the mill and material handler for proper tagging of product.
Ability to think and react to schedule changes and conditions on the mill.
Ability to be a contributing and valued team member for continuous improvement activities.

Responsibilities

Focus on the keeping the mill operational
Maintain clean, safe ,organized work area, 5S
Cross Training of team members on parts programming and mill set ups
TPM of process and equipment in the area
Coordinate daily and weekly activities with department supervisor
Perform visual and manual quality checks of finished products.
Minimize scrap
Work with maintenance hands on to get issues resolved in a timely manner.
Document down time through seamless reporting system to drive KPI tracking
Good communication skills with coworkers to insure continuous flow of the mill and material handler for proper tagging of product.
Ability to think and react to schedule changes and conditions on the mill.
Ability to be a contributing and valued team member for continuous improvement activities.
