About The Position

We are seeking Mill Operators to manufacture high-quality printing ink. We will train the right candidate to operate a mill machine and on TPM activities. As a Mill Operator you will be responsible for running batches of ink at proper mill settings, packaging finished product in various containers and applying labels, cleaning and maintaining machines to TPM Standards, learning and applying TPM knowledge to daily activities, and operating a Hockmeyer mill to maintain optimum OEE (overall equipment effectiveness) standards. You will also be responsible for creating and maintaining a database of all existing formulas including processing times, canning, operating press out units, pump filter equipment, and forklifts. Additionally, you will act as a QC liaison by providing ink samples, making ink adjustments, and recording data, completing scheduled maintenance, utilizing troubleshooting procedures, and helping with repacks. The hours for this position are Monday - Friday, 3 pm - 11 pm.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 3 months of related work experience
• Demonstrate good math and basic computer skills
• Pay attention to detail
• Be reliable to work assigned shift
• Be flexible to work overtime as required
• Have a strong Autonomous Maintenance (AM) background
• Be able to perform an active role with any multi-disciplinary teams
• Good attendance and punctuality
• Be able to lift up to 50 lbs

Nice To Haves

• Forklift experience, but we can train you
• Mixing, mill, and pump filter industry background
• Previous experience in the ink industry

Responsibilities
