About The Position

Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is looking for a Mill Op Trainee. This position will be responsible for the roll from operations and equipment of the mill to insure continuous operation during the shift. This is a 2nd shift position, Monday - Thursday, 3:00pm - 1:30am. Overtime as required. This role is located in Tulsa, OK.

Requirements

Experience in using special measuring devices, calipers, tape measure.
Must be able to navigate, set up equipment controller for proper operation and parts programming.
Roll Tooling experience with set ups and change over.
Demonstrate ability to meet negotiated time frames.
Good Mechanical Aptitude.
Good communication skills with coworkers.
Ability to be a contributing and valued team member.

Nice To Haves

Forklift and overhead crane certification
Experience with Robot programming

Responsibilities

Insure continuous operation of the mill during the shift.
Change out press dies, cut off jaws, and refill oil levels of equipment.
Document down time through seamless reporting system to drive KPI tracking.
Ensure continuous flow of the mill and material handler for proper tagging of product.
React to schedule changes and conditions on the mill.
Participate in continuous improvement activities.
Focus on keeping the mill operational.
Maintain clean, safe, organized work area, 5S.
Cross Train team members on parts programming and mill set ups.
Perform TPM of process and equipment in the area.
Coordinate daily and weekly activities with department supervisor.
Perform visual and manual quality checks of finished products.
Minimize scrap.
Work with maintenance hands on to get issues resolved in a timely manner.
