About The Position

We are seeking a Mill/Mixer Operator to manufacture high-quality printing ink. We will train the right candidate to operate a mill machine and on TPM activities. As a Mill/Mixer Operator you will be responsible for running batches of ink at proper mill settings, packaging finished product in various containers and applying labels, cleaning and maintaining machines to TPM Standards, learning and applying TPM knowledge to daily activities, weighing-up batches by following the proper process order of addition and shifting between auto and manual steps, mixing batches by discharging pigment and operating the mixer safely, following and adhering to all INX Mixer SOP's, Hockmeyer mill operation by running and maintaining optimum OEE (overall equipment effectiveness) standards, creating and maintaining a database of all existing formulas including processing times, canning by operating the press out unit, pump filter equipment, and forklift, acting as a QC liaison by providing ink samples, making ink adjustments, and recording data, and completing scheduled maintenance and utilizing troubleshooting procedures, and helping with repacks.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent
3 months of related work experience
Demonstrate good math and basic computer skills
Pay attention to detail
Be reliable to work assigned shift
Be flexible to work overtime as required
Have a strong Autonomous Maintenance (AM) background
Be able to perform an active role with any multi-disciplinary teams
Good attendance and punctuality
Be able to lift up to 50 lbs

Nice To Haves

Forklift experience, but we can train you
Mixing, mill, and pump filter industry background
Previous experience in the ink industry

Responsibilities

Running batches of ink at proper mill settings
