About The Position

The Milk Receiver is responsible for testing and unloading of all raw milk received, including the cleaning and sanitation of raw milk equipment. This role involves performing pre-unloading tests, maintaining records of incoming milk, and obtaining necessary licenses. The position requires operating screening equipment for bacteria and DMC testing, representing the company positively to milk suppliers, and maintaining general housekeeping of the work area. Employees are expected to adhere to safety policies, Good Manufacturing Practices, and the Safe Quality Food Program. Other responsibilities may be assigned by the manager.

Requirements

Basic computer skills.
Ability to make minor decisions based on standard practices.
Ability to read and prepare production reports and comprehend production worksheets.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Ability to communicate with line personnel regarding information contained therein, and regarding quality & safety issues.

Nice To Haves

High School diploma or GED.
SAP experience.
Lab experience.

Responsibilities

Perform all pre-unloading tests required.
Unload and keep records of all incoming milk.
Obtain and maintain all required licenses needed to perform job.
Clean, both manually and by CIP (Clean in Place).
Operate screening equipment as required to test bacteria, DMC.
Positively represent GLC to milk suppliers.
Maintain general housekeeping of work area.
Report any problems with operation of equipment to Supervisor.
All GLC employees are expected to perform any assignment or job task according to the stated safety policies & procedures.
All GLC employees are expected to produce our products in a manner that exceeds the quality and value expectation of our customers and consumers by adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices, Policies and Procedures outlined in our Safe Quality Food Program.
