The Ship's Signal Exploitation Equipment (SSEE) Program is the Navy's Flagship Signal's Intelligence (SIGINT) system; installed on U.S. Navy ships, and Coast Guard platforms. NIWC Atlantic is the In-Service Engineering Agency (ISEA) responsible for lifecycle support, from development through transition. This support includes; but is not limited to; engineering, requirements analysis, testing, technical writing, fleet technical support, training, procurement, configuration management, production, warehousing, drafting and repair. This support, ultimately, is designed to ensure the deployed SSEE systems and Navy operators are positioned for success against our Nation's adversaries. Candidates for this position will work in a team setting while performing the following responsibilities: Executing the assembly, integration, and testing of ship-specific system hardware and/or cabling during new installations and/or system upgrade events Applying critical thinking skills and organizational expertise to help organize efforts, tasks, and documentation to plan and execute installation and modification of our systems on USN surface combatants, special mission platforms, some USNS ships, and shore installations Communicating and coordinating with agile stakeholders and with fleet customers electronically and in person in a professional manner Executing the assembly, integration, and testing of ship-specific system hardware and/or cabling during new installations and/or system upgrade events Representing the U.S. Government in the execution of high visibility, high-priority tasks on ships in port Documenting support needed via daily reporting and the use of Jira Taking initiative to redline drawings when approved, capturing the system as built during installation Traveling required for but not limited to site surveys and installations
