Venesco LLC is seeking Military Family Licensed Counselors (MFLC) to support military members and families at/around Minot AFB in Minot, ND. Immediate openings are available for year-round Counselors to work with either adults or school-based children on the Air Force base. A $800 sign-on bonus is being offered for new hires. As an MFLC, you will assist children and families in managing the stresses associated with military life, providing problem-solving skills for issues such as deployment, frequent relocations, isolation, children coping with parental absence, child education, and spousal employment. This role requires an independent license in any state, with eligible license types including LCSW/LICSW, LMFT, LPC, LCPC, and LMHC. The MFLC is an independently licensed mental health professional who uses discretion and independent judgment to offer non-medical counseling, coaching, training, and education to military service members and their families. Non-medical counseling focuses on supportive interventions for living conditions, life skills, relationship improvement, stress management, adjustment issues, marital problems, parenting, and dealing with fear, grief, and loss. School counselors and Child Development Center Counselors are placed in DoDEA schools, military childcare centers, and sometimes local community schools. Experience in a school setting is required for Child/Youth Behavioral (CYB) positions, which also involve working with youth programs, summer camps, and on-demand assignments. CYB counselors collaborate with military branch Points of Contact (POCs) to ensure program delivery aligns with contract scope and installation needs. It is considered an honor to provide these non-medical services to active-duty service members and their families.
