Leidos is seeking licensed behavioral health professionals to join their Child and Youth Behavioral, Military and Family Life Counselor (MFLC) team to support Monterey, CA. This role supports U.S. military service members and their families by providing non-medical support, including counseling, consultation, and outreach, to eligible faculty, staff, parents, children, and youth. The non-medical counseling is preventive and aims to address issues before they become greater challenges, recognizing the unique emotional and environmental challenges military children face. Counselors will work at installation Child Development Centers (CDCs) with children aged 0-5, before or after-school care centers, and with school-aged children, youth, and teens. Responsibilities include observing and participating in activities with children and youth, coaching and supporting staff and parents, modeling behavior management techniques, offering presentations on social skills and social-emotional learning, promoting creativity and positivity, building rapport with families, and assisting children with transition adjustments. Counselors will also participate in training and report trends to Team Leads.
