About The Position

Abbott Ambulance is offering a unique opportunity for individuals interested in a rewarding career in pre-hospital medicine. This opportunity is for military personnel who are within their last 180 days of service, to be used as a CSP or SkillBridge. The primary focus of an EMT is to provide basic emergency medical care and transportation for critical and emergent patients who access the emergency medical system. This individual possesses the basic knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care and transportation, and functions as part of a comprehensive EMS response under medical oversight. An EMT performs interventions with the basic equipment typically found on an ambulance and is a link from the scene to the emergency health care system.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Have proof of a HS diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Have all required immunizations
  • Successfully complete the pre-employment screening which includes motor vehicle and criminal background checks, drug testing and a physical agility test
  • Be an Active-Duty Service Member within 180 days of EAS with command approval.
