Military and Family Life Counselors (MFLCs) provide non-medical counseling services to Service Members and their families. This role is designed to be flexible, supporting various needs across military installations and communities. MFLCs focus on preventative, solution-focused approaches to mental health challenges, addressing issues before they escalate. Counselors may work with adults or minors in diverse settings, including embedded with units, supporting families, or within schools. The MFLC model eliminates the need for insurance filing, progress notes, and treatment plans, allowing counselors to focus on direct client support and intuitive reporting.
