About The Position

Advanced Management Strategies Group (AMSG) is seeking a Military Analyst/Speechwriter to support the Commander’s Initiatives Group (CIG) within the Aviation Center of Excellence (AVCOE) G-5 Directorate. Location: Fort Rucker, Alabama Education: Bachelors degree required Experience: Must have at least 10 years of experience as a Planner/Military Analyst in Army Aviation. Expertise may come from rotary wing, fixed wing, or unmanned aerial systems (UAS) operations. Clearance Requirement : Secret Scope: The Military Analyst/Speechwriter will support the Commander’s Initiatives Group (CIG section) and provide strategic writing, research, and communication support to senior leaders. This role crafts speeches, talking points, and narrative products that clearly articulate the commander’s priorities, operational vision, and organizational messaging. The analyst will blend deep military understanding with exceptional writing skills to support high‑visibility engagements, strategic initiatives, and enterprise‑wide communication efforts.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of Army operations, planning, and terminology.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, compelling messages.
  • Experience working directly with senior leaders or in high‑visibility staff roles.
  • Strong research, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Must have at least 10 years of experience as a Planner/Military Analyst in Army Aviation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop briefings, speeches, information papers, and professional journal articles relating to Army aviation operations, training, doctrine, and program management.
  • Proof-read and edit the work of others to improve quality and identify and correct errors.
  • Interpret guidance and quickly incorporate changes into draft products to achieve timelines.
  • Understand strategic environment and incorporate emerging policy, training, and material decisions into products.
