MILIEU SPECIALIST - NIGHTS PER DIEM
About The Position
Metropolitan Behavioral Health (a UHS Facility) is a growing, 144-bed behavioral health facility that provides a full continuum of inpatient services across the entire patient population. This includes specialty programs for adolescents, adults, and older adults, and behavioral health assessments are performed 24 hours a day. Additionally, programs for co-occurring behavioral health and substance use issues are offered to meet the unique needs of this patient population. The facility also provides a robust outpatient program utilizing a combination of group, family, and individual therapy. The Milieu Specialist provides therapeutic milieu management, training of MHTs, and monitoring of the hospital units. Milieu management includes program content and philosophy, patient management training, environmental management, and staff competency. This is a per diem position for the night shift.
Requirements
- Associates or bachelor’s degree in psychology or similar social sciences from an accredited college or university.
- Five years of professional experience in a mental health hospital setting.
- Experience as a Lead MHT.
- Current certification as a Non-Violent Crisis Intervention instructor required or obtained within 5 months of being in the role.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to relate feedback and mentor existing & newly hired employees.
- Current certification in BLS/CPR.
