About The Position

Currently seeking a Milestone Application Administrator to join an active government contract delivery team based out of San Diego, CA. This individual will be primarily responsible for deployment, configuration, troubleshooting and administration of Milestone Video Management System (VMS) and other connected services in a Testing Environment. Specific job responsibilities include: Will be responsible for the installation (Milestone XProtect and SQL Express), configuration, administration and management of Milestone XProtect Video Management System. Must have experience troubleshooting, maintaining, and the set up for SQL Server, and SQL Express Must have a strong understanding of Windows Server 2016, 2019 and 2022 server operating systems to include server roles, security policy, .Net framework and server/application services. Must have ability to load Windows Server 2016, 2019 or 2022 on hardware-based servers from vendors such as Dell, HP and others. Must have strong understanding of Role Based Access Control (RBAC) for Applications as well as Active Directory permissions for computers/users/groups, GPO, SECPOL and domain structure. Must have strong PowerShell scripting experience and expertise for automated of Windows Server tasks to include password resets. Will provide Tier I/II Subject Matter Expertise (SME) for Milestone VMS and associated cameras within the lab environment. Will monitor and optimize the performance of the Milestone VMS. Identify and troubleshoot database issues related to Milestone VMS and the ability to analyze, design, build, test and implement solutions. Knowledge of industry leading camera manufacturers (e.g. Axis, Bosch, Pelco, etc.)

Requirements

United States citizen
Current DOD clearance required
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent
In lieu of Bachelors degree, 5+ years in application administration in Milestone software or similar
Certifications: Security +CE
Deep understanding of Video Management System Application Installation, Troubleshooting and Maintenance
Experience with SQL Server Express
Ability to work in a dynamic fast-paced environment that requires team interaction and coordination
Excellent communication skills too include technical writing and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment
Ability to be detail oriented and to prioritize and complete assigned tasks within required deadlines
Exceptional problem solving and decision-making capabilities, including troubleshooting technical issues, successfully resolving project issues and challenges, and developing creative solutions for process improvement and understanding user requirements
Strong understanding of database schema objects management, data modeling and architecture
Must have experience troubleshooting, maintaining, and the set up for SQL Server, and SQL Express
